From October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, the World EXPO will be organized in Dubai (United Arab Emirates).

The main theme of the exhibition, 'Connecting Minds, Creating the Future', will be used by participating countries as a tool to promote global progress and sustainable development. The exhibition theme includes three interlinked sub-themes: Opportunity, Sustainability, Mobility, which constitute the three most important driving forces of our time.

The exhibition platform will serve as a venue to showcase the latest ideas and technologies, and as a platform to present the economic, investment, and cultural potential of participating countries. The national pavilions will not only attract millions of visitors from all over the world, but will also welcome heads of state, government delegations, major investors, heads of international companies, and representatives of the world media.

The official site for the Expo 2020 exhibition centre will be the new 438-hectare Dubai Trade Centre, designed specifically for the exhibition. The architecture of the complex will combine innovative design with environmental friendliness. Half of the electricity it consumes will be generated from renewable sources, while 50% of the energy will be generated directly at the exhibition site.

More than 190 countries have now confirmed their participation in Expo 2020. Organisers are expecting some 25 million visitors.
