More than 80 Belarusian food processing companies with the widest range of products are represented at the 2022 Prodexpo  international exhibition which opened in Moscow on 8 February. 

On January 29, the first BIM event was held in Minsk, which was attended by business leaders, customers and specialists interested in the development of Building Information Modelling. The event was part of a large BIM marathon that planned to include a series of seminars on Building Information Modelling technologies where top speakers will talk about implementing BIM in their companies, share their unique experiences and discuss the prospects of working in this field. 

Under the free trade regime currently in force in the CIS, the importation of goods originating from the CIS countries into Belarus is exempt from customs duty. To qualify for this benefit, goods must be imported from another CIS country under an agreement between two CIS residents. VAT and excise taxes are still charged.

Tashkent will host the UzFood 2022 international exhibition of food, ingredients and production technologies on 29-31 March, which will feature Belarus' national stand.

On 18 January 2022 an official signing ceremony was held for the accession to the Lisbon-Vladivostok Common Economic Space Initiative by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Spain, represented by David Figueras.

The law firm SF Abogados this week filed a lawsuit against the Catalan government to protect fundamental human rights, challenging the legality of a regulation requiring the presentation of a "COVID passport" to enter indoor areas such as restaurants, gyms and hotels.
